Artist Statement

I like trash and alleys. I want you to look closely at things you don’t want to look at, to engage with objects and places in a state of disuse. My work shares a personal experience of place and welcomes the viewer into a sensitive awareness of the world, challenging them to confront its strange, entropic nature. With varied scales and the complexities of handmaking it encourage a phenomenological experience. The work’s fragile and static quality evokes a feeling of unease and suggests something fleeting in the process of growth and decay.
